이 필리핀 소녀는 필리핀의 스타서치 프로그램, 리틀 빅 스타(Little Big Star)우승으로
필리핀에서 유명인이 되었고, 우리나라에서도 스타킹을 통해 많이 알려졌었는데요.
가수인 어머니와 이모의 영향으로 4살 때부터 노래를 부르기 시작했고 가난한 집안 형편때문에
각종 노래대회에 참가하게 됐다는 특이한 경력의 채리스.
SBS 스타킹에 출연하고 나서 그녀에 관한 신상이 미국 헐리우드에까지 알려져서
미국에서 가장 영향력있는 프로그램이라는 오프라 윈프리 쇼에도 출연해서 미국에서 작은 센세이션을 일으켰다고 하네요.
